What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
We ask that you do not add any personal information to any comments that you submit. This will be visible publicly and we cannot control who views this information. You are responsible for any comments you submit and we have the rights to remove and not display any comments submitted to outwoodz.co.uk which we do not believe to be appropriate.

We have Google Analytics user tracking software installed onto this site. We use this to improve our site performance only, and to provide the very best content and service we can. None of the data we collect from our tracking efforts is identifiable information, and has not been opted to be shared directly with Google.
This data collection is controlled via a third-party cookie which is embedded as part of our site loading, and will not be triggered or start collecting any of the described user data unless specifically ‘Accepted’/opted into by yourself. This can also be amended by yourself from anywhere within the sites cookie settings. This can be found within the ‘gear’ options in the bottom left of the screen.

These cookies purely relate to Google’s adverting platform and we do not record or use them for any data collection ourselves. https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies?hl=en-US#types-of-cookies
